The Printer’s Cabinet & Curiosities is a wonderful oddity shop located in Franklin, PA. I had the luxury of working with the owner on multiple logos for different uses. The Printer’s Cabinet focuses on the strange, occult and taboo, while also featuring an impressive display of various jewelry and decorations from old to really old. This shop is an amazing place and I recommend anybody in that area to check it out!
Above is the main logo for The Printer’s Cabinet & Curiosities. Human figures and body parts inspire the owner, in this logo I combine a figure with imagery relating to the shop, while also keeping it more “normal” and accessible to draw in both new and returning customers.
This devil man on the front of the store’s business cards came from an old Victorian Calling Card they acquired. I remade the aged image into a vector logo to use. Nothing shows what you’re in for at The Printer’s Cabinet & Curiosities more than this.
Hands are a major obsession for the owner of The Printer’s Cabinet & Curiosities. The imagery of a hand can induce many emotions, we’re all familiar with hands and what they can do. This coupled with a clever “Buy Curious” pun strengthens everything that they stand for. Be weird, be yourself.
These buttons meant to be given out are fun, kitschy and are an excellent way to get new feet in the door. The skull still shows what you’re in for, but it’s more playful nature can be loved by anyone. It was an amazing experience to work with The Printer’s Cabinet & Curiosities, and I look forward to the next crazy idea they send my way!
